Our Hospice Shops
Support Hospice by Shopping!
Hospice Marlborough operates four charity shops—two in Redwoodtown, Blenheim, and two in the picturesque port town of Picton. These shops are a vital source of funding, with all proceeds directly supporting the delivery of high-quality palliative care services in Marlborough.
Overseen by full-time managers and supported by close to 100 dedicated volunteers, our hospice shops are set up specifically to raise funds for hospice and to help address the significant funding shortfall we face each year.
We rely on the generous support of our community to help bridge this gap whether it is through ‘shopping with us for a purpose’ or donating quality pre-loved items. We strive to offer fair prices that honour and reflect the value of donated items while remaining affordable for all.
Proud of their friendly service and warm atmosphere, the Hospice Shops are treasure-troves created for shoppers looking for that special something for their home, wardrobe or as a gift for a friend and the team look forward to welcoming you during your next shop visit.
Redwoodtown
For 19 years, the hospice shops in Redwoodtown have been key contributors to our fundraising efforts, maximising returns from generously donated items. Our main shop features a wide variety of goods, from bric-a-brac and modern & vintage clothing to books, artwork, and furniture, reflecting our aim to offer a top-tier charity shopping experience. Next door, our discount shop offers all items for $5 or less ensuring accessibility for all.
We are always eager to receive quality secondhand donations during normal business hours and welcome new volunteers to join our friendly team. Visit our shops for a warm, inviting atmosphere and discover unique treasures for your home, wardrobe, or as a gift. Shop Manager Christine and her team look forward to welcoming you!
Picton
Following the success of our Redwoodtown stores, the Picton Hospice Charity Shops are the second pair to be brought to Marlborough, expanding our reach and showcasing Hospice Marlborough’s mission and services in the area. More than just retail spaces, our charity shops serve as community support hubs and vital fundraising avenues for Hospice Marlborough.
The first of our shops opened on August 26 2024, with the neighboring hospice shop set to open by summer, further strengthening our presence and commitment to the community. We welcome new volunteers to join our firendly team and invite you to visit and support our shops, where every purchase directly contributes to the palliative care we provide across our region.
