Kerri, an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist, is a vital member of Hospice Marlborough’s Community Care team.
With a postgraduate certificate in palliative care and a focus on teaching, she also holds an adult teaching qualification, and her nursing background includes respiratory care and a special interest in cystic fibrosis. She brings experience from the UK and outback Australia.
For two decades, Kerri has been a nurse at Hospice Marlborough, engaging in various aspects of patient care. As the sole original staff member, she has witnessed significant changes while upholding the core mission of patient and family care. Kerri also serves as a Hospice Educator and Community Nurse, offering end-of-life support in aged care facilities and patients’ homes across Marlborough.
Despite the emotional context, Kerri finds joy in her team’s positive atmosphere and witnessing families find happiness after loss reaffirms life’s cycle. Fortunate to have 8 care homes in the region, Kerri cherishes collaboration with the dedicated team.
